TESTIMONIALS

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Home Rewires recently did a complete rewire of my 4 bed, mid-victorian property. It was a very complicated rewire as they needed to preserve all the original features including very fragile ceiling moulding. The team got it done in a week, left the house clean and tidy and did an exceptional job. Throughout the process they kept me updated about progress, changes and improvements. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The re-wiring, part of a wider refurbishment of a Grade-II listed farmhouse and adjoining cottage dating back to 1520, was far from straightforward, but the Home Rewires team rose to the challenge with professionalism. Work throughout was completed to a high standard using quality materials and fixtures to deliver an outstanding result. I am happy to recommend them to others and will use them again in the future.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From start to finish the work has been smooth, I needed a full rewire as part of a project and had lots of other work booked in. The schedule was tight, however Home Rewires worked around this and turned it around in 2 days which was amazing, I am truly grateful to all the team for making this happen. Nothing was too much trouble, great service. Highly recommend for re-wires or electrical work.

The Rewire Process
We'll take you through the steps involved in rewiring your home...
Free Quotation
The process of rewiring your home begins with a free survey of the property. During the survey, we consult with the client to determine the electrical points required for each room. The client then recieves a free quotation detailing the precise cost.
Date & Schedule
Once the quotation is accepted, we consult with the client to schedule a convienient date for the work to commence, including any occupancy arrangements.
Home Preparation
Home preparation involves the removal of large furniture that may obstruct access to walls, and should be carried out by the client. If furniture cannot be removed, it should be relocated to the centre of the room.
Installation Process
The installation process involves the removal of old electrical wiring and the installation of new wiring and upgrade of the consumer unit and accessories. The process usually takes 2 to 3 days but can take a week or more depending on the size of the property.
Documentation & Follow-Ups
When the installation is complete and fully tested, our electrician conducts a walkthrough with the client to address any concerns or questions. Additionally, all essential documentation is provided to certify the completion of the rewiring project. Finally, the follow-up stage may include a scheduled visit to address any post-rewiring issues and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.

Platinum promise. Are you considering rewiring your house but unsure about the costs involved? Rewiring is a crucial aspect of maintaining a safe and functional home, but the expenses can vary based on several factors. Here, we'll list the common factors that influence the costs of rewiring a house.

Factors Influencing Costs

▶️ Property Size and Complexity:
Larger homes generally require more wiring, and complex layouts can increase labour time. The number of rooms, floors, and overall square footage all contribute to the complexity.
▶️ Number of Floors:
The number of floors or storeys in your home will determine the final quote. The prices given in the table above are based on 2 floors for houses.
▶️ Age of the Property:
Older homes may need a complete overhaul of outdated wiring systems. This can be a more intricate and time-consuming process, impacting the overall cost.
▶️ Occupancy Status:
Whether the house is occupied or unoccupied affects the pricing. Rewiring an occupied house might require additional precautions and accommodations, potentially leading to increased costs.
▶️ Accessibility:
The ease of access to wiring points can impact the labour required. Difficult-to-reach areas may necessitate additional time and effort, influencing the final bill.
▶️ Upgrades and Additional Work:
If you're considering additional electrical upgrades or modifications alongside the rewiring, these will naturally add to the overall cost, as outlined in the "What Does the Pricing Include?" section.
▶️ Plaster Patching:
We can provide complete plaster patching to all affected walls, which can be added to the quote as an additional cost if requested by the customer.

What Does the Pricing Include?

The pricings listed in the table above are a rough guide for a standard home rewire. A standard home rewire includes:

1 Consumer Unit with Internal Circuits:
Circuits that power outbuildings or outside lighting will incur additional costs.
1 Pendant with LED Lamp Per Room:
Spot lighting or multiple pendants will incur additional costs that will be detailed in the quote.
1 Bathroom Rated Light Fitting:
Each bathroom will be fitted with one suitably IP rated bathroom light fitting.
2 Kitchen Circuits:
The kitchen includes 1 socket circuit and 1 32amp hob or oven supply.
White Plastic Accessories:
This means white plastic sockets and switches throughout. If you require decorative accessories, such as chrome or brass sockets and switches, this will incur additional costs that will be detailed in the quote.
